Privacy PolicyLast updated: 2026-11-02
This policy explains what information we process when providing the Service, how it is used and kept, and the choices you have. We only collect what is needed to run the Service.
1. Information we process
- IP and request data: your IP address and request headers such as the browser User-Agent, used to show results, detect your real exit and prevent abuse.
- Lookup records: the IP or domain you look up, the time, the requesting IP, the channel (web / CLI) and whether it was served from cache or blocked, used for statistics, quota accounting and abuse prevention.
- IP report cache: public network information about looked-up IPs (location, ASN, risk flags, etc.) is cached for a while to avoid repeated upstream requests.
- Account data (signed-in users only): email address, nickname and avatar, plus the posts, comments and images you publish and the IP used when publishing.
- Feedback: the data corrections you submit and the IP they were sent from.
2. Checks that run in your browser
Browser fingerprinting (Canvas, WebGL, fonts, etc.) and time-zone / language consistency checks are computed and shown in your browser and are not uploaded or stored. Split routing, exit, IPv6, speed and leak tests make your browser contact the relevant third-party websites or test servers directly, and those sites will see your IP.
3. How we use information
IPs shown publicly under "recent lookups" are masked, and the visitor map is aggregated to roughly 1° grid cells with no precise locations. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising profiles.
- to provide and improve lookups, checks and cards;
- to enforce lookup quotas and rate limits and to detect and stop abuse;
- to produce site statistics (total lookups, score distribution, visitor map);
- to send necessary service emails such as sign-in codes.
4. Third-party services
To complete lookups and checks we send the looked-up IP to IP intelligence providers; the site is delivered and protected through Cloudflare (which may include Turnstile human verification); map tiles, flags and fonts come from third-party CDNs. These services handle request data under their own privacy policies.
5. Local storage
This site does not use cookies. Your sign-in session (a session token) and preferences such as theme, language, hidden IP and your local lookup history are kept in your browser's local storage; preferences are never uploaded. Signing out removes the session token, and you can clear all local data in your browser at any time.
6. Retention
- usage records for quota accounting are deleted automatically after about 2 days;
- lookup records and the IP report cache are kept for statistics and faster lookups and are cleaned up periodically;
- your account and published content are kept until you delete them or close your account.
7. Your rights
You can edit your profile and delete your own posts and comments in settings. To export or delete data related to your account, or with any question about this policy, please reach us through the Contact page.
8. Updates
When the way we process information changes, we will update this policy and the "last updated" date on this page.
